Mahopac
Mahopac, a hamlet of the Town of Carmel, pronunciation is “MAY-o-pac” however the locals prefer to say “Ma-HOE-pac” , representative of the town’s native Algonquin roots.
Located in southern Putnam County, Mahopac has been a popular destination for people moving from larger dense areas looking to move to the Suburbs or relocating from other states looking to live in the Hudson Valley Region.
